The Grand Canyon

I remember being told to approach the Grand Canyon from the south so that you don’t see it coming. I remember the anticipation, not really knowing what to expect. I, like most people had seen it on TV and in pictures but none of it really prepares you for the real thing.

When we parked the car and approached the small wooden carrier at the rim I was blown away by how massive it really is. Suddenly all my existence seemed so insignificant looking out at this huge crack in the Earth, one which has been taking shape for millions of years.

Here are two of my personal favourites from my 5 days at the Grand Canyon.

The GC is a very cool experience and good call coming in from the South! Did you get a chance to go down into the canyon during your visit?
