Yellowstone National Park- Part One

Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park was America’s first National Park and still remains one of its most visited, photographed and loved places in North America. Situated in the north west state of Wyoming, Yellowstone is home to more geothermal captivity than almost any other place on the planet. Alongside the mud pots, steaming pools and geysers are thousands of square kilometres of forest, waterfalls and mountains.

Here is the first of two instalments of all that Yellowstone has to offer. When Jen and I visited in early May, the park was still frozen and covered in snow in the southern region, while the north entrance had thawed in preparation for Spring. Here are a some of my favourite shots from the southern region of the park.

Keep an eye out for the second instalment, it looks like another place altogether.

  1. Great short Ardun. Was it snowing in May? The park looks so picturesque and wild. I must go there when being in North America.

    • Not snowing but some still on the ground. You’ll love it if you go, so many animals 🙂
